Total Immersion Programme in Finance and Development (TIP/FD) - Summer 2011

The TIP/FD provides undergraduate and graduate students interested in microfinance and economic development an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in working on issues relating to access to financial services for urban and rural poor in a developing country. Interns will participate in a structured, two-week course directed by leading researchers, CMF Research Associates, and practitioners from the Indian government, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and NGOs. As part of the course, interns will take a field trip to visit leading MFIs and learn about microfinance models on the ground. Knowledge Management and SWAP Positions

This year, we are selecting interns for CMF’s Knowledge Management (KM) and Sector Wide and Policy (SWAP) Unit. Selected interns will work with KM and SWAP team. KM interns will focus on disseminating existing CMF data by helping KM team in writing policy memos, newsletter articles and other publications. He/She will also be involved with conference and seminar planning, interviewing different stakeholders for podcast, newsletter articles etc. SWAP interns will focus on field-based action research, policy/sector wide studies or data analysis.
